I learned functional medicine slowly by attending numerous conferences, reading multiple books, and meeting other professionals. I then had to assimilate the randomness of information into real, clinical, actionable plans. After I created these protocols, I put them into place constantly assessing the feedback from my patients and clinical progress. I continuously tweak and optimize my protocols in order to get even more efficient, reliable results.
A Personal Approach
I have always been passionate about teaching. I voluntarily spent hours teaching my underclassmen in medical school. I always took extra time during residency to educate my fellow residents to understand the biochemical "why."
